Roasting chicken disaster! So, set out to prepare bird, missing ingredients, but ok, modify. Oven starts smoking more than a 1920s steam engine. So, I pull out the racks, realizing we didnt get the oil out from the other night. I was cleaning it and then without thinking grabbed the rack to put back in. WITH MY HANDS. Was hot, dropped it, on my foot!!!! Hot!!! Backed up, knocked the chicken with the only broth I had left, onto the floor. Chicken, broth, spices, all go flying, I slip, fall on ass, cry a little (fingers, toes, ass, ego, all sore my this time). Then, as I was putting it all back in oven, finally, the rack wouldnt fit. Then I realized door hinge makes it so bottom rung is unusable, I tried to pull out the rack and the bird on it. Tipped sideways, with second water/spice mixture flying. Had to clean out stove again. Out of spices. But now, with fan on, kitchen clean, and oven lightly smoking, we are set. While you are fighting crime sir, I am fighting a damn dead chicken!
