Rob & I have been together almost five years. We met right after my son & his wife got married. We married almost a year ago. His oldest daughter married about six months ago. Today, the baby of all of our babies took her own walk down the aisle. Three down, one to go. The only single child we have now is my Crystal. We kid her about not ever going out, not having a boyfriend and stuff like that, but Im actually proud of her for not settling for anything less than her perfect mate. At the wedding today, she was carrying on a conversation with one of the grandfathers from the other side of the family. He told her his story of how he met his first wife and their many years of marriage, separated only by her death by cancer. He continued by telling her about his current wife and their many years together. He told her to continue waiting for her Mr Right. He told her not to settle for anything less than the man that God had chosen for her. It was a very sweet thing for him to do...standing there reassuring a young lady that she was making the moral choice. He doesnt even know her, but it was beautiful to listen to this older, country-talking fellow telling her his stories of love. I hope our baby girls husband will always have that same love for her that he does today. Maybe one day, hell talk to a young lady at a wedding and tell her how much he still loves his wife. I hope, too, that some day, my daughter finds that special someone who will love her that much fifty years or so after they say their I dos.
