Rob Triggs The market is full of fitness trackers these days, but not too many of them come cheap. The new Movo Wave may be the most inexpensive of them all, as is costs just $29.99. To reach this low price, the Movo Wave has been stripped back to the basic essentials required for fitness tracking. The familiar options for monitoring daily steps taken, distance, and calories burnt are all there, but the device doesn’t go so far as to make a distinction between heavy exercise and, say, walking to the fridge. However, the little device is water-resistant and touts a battery life that can last up to two weeks on a single charge, which is pretty good. Obviously such a trimmed down device isn’t going to appeal to the serious athlete, but Movo isn’t targeting that type of consumer. The company suggests that the Movo Wave is perfect for “everyone” who wants to better understand their daily activity. Keeping with the lifestyle rather than exercise target audience, the Movo Wave’s software also has some interesting, although not necessarily helpful features. The Android app includes the usual graphs and a calendar features for tracking your progress, but also lets you tag locations and pictures to your exercise regime, presumably for sharing with fellow fitness semi-enthusiasts. The Movo Wave is available for purchase right now, priced at just $29.99, and orders will begin shipping out on Monday 15th December. ift.tt/1wIad7f
