Robert Eimiller wrote: I was recently asked a question by an old high school friend from the left side of the political spectrum. He wondered why I continue to malign our “president” in a personal way. He wonders if I have any “respect” for the office. While admitting for the first time his own disappointments in Obama, his “respect” the office allows him to overlook the negatives. His question, though surprising in his admittance to having “disappointments” inspired me to respond. I certainly respect the institutional OFFICE but Im also thoroughly disgusted at the obvious, NOT perceived, lack of respect and total disregard this current president has for the office he holds. Im rightfully concerned by Barack Hussein Obamas determined attack on our country, our Constitutional rights and our personal Liberty. Im stunned at his daily persistent and purposeful destruction of our economy, our society, our national security, our military. Im astounded by the lack of concern of the American people at Obama’s total disdain for the simple concept that made this country unique, States Rights. The governing concept the Founders constituted and agreed upon was for a LIMITED central government with most power being held by the individual States, we are after all, the UNITED States of America. The complete lack of civic knowledge evidenced by intelligent Americans is mind boggling. Barack Hussein Obama’s outspoken promise comprised of a simple word like FUNDAMENTAL in conjunction with another simple word like TRANSFORM has blown through the collective minds of the Obama voting “center left” like an ill wind through a tunnel. Yes, I have a respect for the office of the president but my respect takes a distinct back seat to the survival of this nation as it was founded, a Constitutional Republic. America broke from Britain for one simple reason, Liberty AND a natural benefit of personal liberty is equality. In my answer I challenged him to take the time and truly examine the current holder of that office. I ask him to examine Obama’s early background, well whatever background that can actually be found. Research words from his history, many can be found in his autobiography supposedly written in his twenties, fabricated girlfriends included. We all know written and published memoirs is a common ritual for many twenty somethings, right? If Obama had written any articles as editor of the Harvard Law Review their might have been some clues. It is unfortunate though that he as the “Editor” never penned an essay of any kind for that prestigious publication, or for what it’s worth, even an extraneous comment. I suggested my liberal friend check out the fog shrouded list of the president’s friends, associates and acquaintances throughout the years. Question for once, just WHAT are those so called Czars doing every day? What is their purpose? Why are they necessary? Simply try with an open mind to make a cursory examination the list of non constitutional extra-governmental areas they have been concentrating their unknown but obviously political activities. Respect for the Office of the President? I asked, is that is the crux of my friends blind acceptance? Does he notice any present danger to the future freedoms and lifestyle being prepared for his grandchildren? Common sense is a gift it appears, something so simple yet so evasive.... Mind boggling to be sure. Like · Reply · 2 hours ago
