Robert did not listen to his recordings but through the years he always told me that he wanted his recording of Bachs Ave Maria to be played at his funeral. Each time he would tell me I would promise him that it would be done, but in the corners of my mind I thought that day was so far, far away. Then like a bolt of lightning that day was suddenly here and I kept my promise. So today, to honor you my dearest love I am playing it again and with each glorious note that you sing you lift me up and soothe my broken heart. V
