Robert had his replacement knee removed yesterday. The 3 hour surgery was a tough surgery & last night was pretty hard. He has had a fair day today. An antibiotic block was put in the knee area. Unfortunately he had a 2nd infection; doctors think he will be on antibiotics at home for at least 8 weeks thru a picc line. He cannot bend his knee or put any weight on his knee. Once the infection has cleared up, dr will wait another 4 weeks to make sure the infection doesnt return, to put the new replacement in.
