Robin Hood has a problem with gates. He seems to think hes supposed to bolt through them. This was the first time Ive actually addressed the issue, but I can see that this approach will not be as effective as Id like. The idea here is to reinforce touching the halter with a step through the gate. So halter = freedom. The problem with it is Robin Hoods state of mind. He is so worked up about going through the gate that hes going to have a difficult time focusing on the halter. Instead, Im going to work on calm behavior around the gate and work up to calm behavior going through the gate and lastly, add in the halter.
