Robocop I am a huge fan of near-future, sci-fi movies, - TopicsExpress

Robocop I am a huge fan of near-future, sci-fi movies, especially now that we have the visual capacities to showcase what future robotics and technology may look like. This slice of 80s nostalgia was awesome in my opinion, with seeing Micheal Keaton on the big screen again being the icing on the cake. The entire supporting cast was phenomenal, with Gary Oldman playing the robotics doctor and Samuel L. Jackson portraying a loud-mouthed, opinionated news host. The sound and visual effects of the robotics were really cool, especially in IMAX. Every time I heard a piece of the originals theme music, my inner child was doing back flips. This PG-13 reboot of the film is much more family appropriate than the R-rated original. Now, placing my bias aside, this film is like a Honda car, dependable for the family and performing adequately, doing the right things to be good enough, but doing nothing to give you shock and awe. It may only be worth a rental for most, though I would love to see a sequel made.
