Robocop: (**) it’s a movie about a cop who is half man, half robot. It’s not Shakespeare. It’s not Jane Austen. It’s a popcorn movie, meant for easy digestion and even easier forgetting, and in the course of its 102-minute running time, nary a second goes by where the film’s tongue isn’t planted firmly up against its cold, metallic cheek. This newer, sleeker version of the same story is certainly flashier…but my, what a dull viewing experience it is.
