Robyn’s 50th Game ( Sunday 17th August) Robyn started her AFL career in 2010 after following a friend from college to play in Clarence in the first year of womens footy competition in Tasmania the TASWAFL. She missed the opportunity to play in their grand final because of a broken leg sustained in a previous game, however in the following years they won the 2011 and 2012 grand finals. Robyn played in the first womens Tasmanian team at nationals in Adelaide in 2011 and was retained in the squad for the 2013 nationals played in June, even though she was living in Melbourne for work! When she moved to Melbourne we welcomed her into the team for the 2013 season, playing the entire season Robyn went on to play in her third Grand Final, unfortunately we couldn’t manage the win. In 2014 she celebrated her 50 game milestone. Robyn looks in complete control going for a run down the wing, but this tall, slight player prides herself on being a tough in and under player. Watching Robyn play she is often at the bottom of a pack working the ball out to the best advantage; she never stops running and supporting her team mates. Robyn brings a great work ethic and a big smile to the team, which encourages and inspires those around her. The MUGARS love having Robyn as part of the team, and are glad to have shared this achievement with her. Congratulations Robyn.
