Rochester Herald, September 17, 1922. According to the newspaper, this is the Dewey Avenue racetrack, where in this race Siliqua won over Armadale by default. The Dewey Avenue Race Track opened July 3, 1922, on the former Sol Rosenberg farm on Dewey Avenue north of Ridge Road, opposite Holy Sepulchre cemetery, at the corner of Winchester Street. The sponsoring organization was called the Dewey Avenue Driving Association. The stands collapsed on the following day, July 4, but were rebuilt.
