Rock This World: The Inspiration Behind the Heart of Change - TopicsExpress

Rock This World: The Inspiration Behind the Heart of Change Award The idea for this award started about 5 years ago. As I wrote in a previous post, Mitch and I have always made lists of ways we want to help people. Why the lists? Living busy lives often causes us to lose track of the “unimportant parts”. At this point, we also made a list of what we would do with 1 million and 10 million dollars. Currently, these millions of dollars have not been pouring into our lives. I don’t want to say we struggle paying bills because God always has and always will supply our daily bread, but students loans don’t pay themselves. Multiple times each week, I climb a mountain and sit in my own personal spot to meet with God. Sometimes I sing or dance. Other times I cry. At times, I take notebooks to draw or write. I take books to read. Sometimes I just sit and wait. A trip to the mountain top came recently, so I grabbed a notebook. This notebook was one from years ago. It contained the listing of what we would do with the millions of dollars. I was sitting at my spot reading over my notes. I was asking God why I don’t have money like that. I said, “Look what I could do with that money.” A realization came to me that I had been waiting for God to move when all along, He was waiting for me to move. I realized how much more we could be doing to demonstrate the love of God. I left the mountain top with a changed heart. (I never did say those words to Mitch. So, the day he brought home the award application with the words “Heart of Change” written at the top, I had to laugh. God is so cool.) That day walking off the mountain I thought, “I am going to rock this world. I am going to rock this life. I am going to rock this day.” I left the mountain top that day with a greater realization of how much God loves me and how much He has blessed me. That night, Mitch and I reevaluated our thinking and our hearts to reflect the way that God treats us. We decided that right here and right now, God could use us. Today, we are useful. In our current circumstances, we can be beneficial to others. So today, I encourage you. Do not let your current circumstances limit you. Take away the boundaries. The God who created you is limitless. Today is the day!! This is the song I was listening to the day I had the revelation youtube/watch?v=0CifJ8kbRJs
