Rock bassist, arranger and producer Felix Pappalardi was born on this day in 1939 in Bronx, NY. Pappalardi began his career in the Greenwich Village folk scene, producing such acts as Tim Hardin, The Youngbloods, Joan Baez, and others. He made his mark in the late 60s when he produced the British Rock-Blues outfit The Cream`s 2nd LP, Disraeli Gears. Papalardi then went on to form Mountain with guitarist Leslie West.He died in 1983 from an accidental gunshot wound.
