Rocket Science. For many survivors we rarely see our self for our true self. Often it going back to transferred shame. This being done from one offending another to one notably more vulnerable. I like to think of shame as a concrete block weighing twenty pounds or so. Imagine reaching deep inside to ones chest or even belly... Finding this twenty pound concrete block... In a symbolic way removing it from inside... Then in ones mind walking to one having brought harm to you... Handing them this block of shame... And saying, This does not belong to me. Im returning your shame to you... Then turning around... And walking away... Far too often it is our shame keeping us from applying for that promotion, saying hello to another, going back to school, or even not liking another. I can only go back to no child being born with shame. Yet, rather perfect in every way...
