Rokugien Gardens Tokyo has many beautiful ‘teien’ (garden parks), but nine gardens in Tokyo designated as cultural assets are especially rich in historical and cultural value. Today we’re introducing Rikugien Gardens! Originally a flat part of the Musashino area, it was built over the course of seven years into a strolling garden with a man-made pond and hills. Together with Koshikawa Korakuen Gardens it is one of the two great teiens created during the Edo period. Highlights include cherry blossoms in March and autumn leaves in November.
