Role Playing Games. At what point do they become socially harmful? Passive romantic and adventure entertainment has been around for as long as humans could tell stories. Technology has been able to create escapism and fantasy at levels we have never been able to before. World of Warcraft, Sims, Call of Duty, even Candy Crush...video game addiction seems to have an increasing problem for some. Technology has also made cheating easier. Even if its just emotional cheating. Where does a video game that allows you to date characters and takes you on an emotional journey fit in? Is this a good step for those wishing to live a little fantasy at the end of the day? Or will this damage existing and potential relationships? Are we able to properly seperate ourselves from this fantasy life? Is this just a marketing ploy to suck more women in? I am not sure how to weigh in on this game trend. What do you guys think?
