Role models are so important in our lives, particularly when were young. Those special people who, with a quiet word, much needed encouragement or important advice, can change our lives. I know Ive benefited from mentors. Today Labor announced a funding boost for mentor programs such as elite netballer Sarah Walls Jeanieboy which supports adolescent girls.
