The lyric video illustrates the story of Marissa Alexander who fired a warning shot to protect herself from her husband. No one got hurt. She had given birth 10 days before. She was found guilty of aggravated assault and has served three years of a 20 year sentence. After filing an appeal, she awaits a new trial under house arrest. Her ankle bracelet and bond costs $1100 a month. She now faces a mandatory sentence of 60 years if she is found guilty in her trail this December. This is all happening in Jacksonville, FL, the same state that allowed George Zimmerman to murder Trayvon Martin in self defense.
