Rolling Stone top 500 albums countdown #496 - Boz Scaggs - Boz scaggs - It looks like Rhapsody has indexed this album incorrectly. I bought it from iTunes. Its oddly fitting that a swampers (Muscle Shoals) album is in the last few. The sound of those records is amazing. So live, so groovy, so tight. Even if there are occasional intonation problems, its those imperfections that make the release human. The records flirting with country and rock is perfectly complemented by Duane Allmans slide guitar playing.
