Romans 12:9-21 Love in Action 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[a] Do not be conceited. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[b] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[c] 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. God is very clear in His command, that true love is the only way to build genuine relationship with mankind through the love of The Lord, to be a loving person to others through action not emotion, love must be sincere, must be pure, must be true love, with humility, humbleness, selfless, generous and servant hood, spending time with our brothers/sisters with warm tender affection, treating them the way we treat our own family, treating our brethren with honor and respect, Indeed, you are the greatest example of demonstrating your loved towards others loving when you died on the cross for all our sins! We have all our individual struggles in life and God is dealing with me since Sunday night about my attitude, the way I speak, the way I talk, the way I deal and communicate with other people, with other brethren, this passage been speaking into my innermost heart, very timely, my flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart, He rebukes me, correct me and teaches me to treat one another well with gentleness and to lead the way in showing honor for other believers, Father, thank you for your forgiveness and your unconditional love rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation and devoted in prayers! Thank you that you always listens to our prayers that you will restore relationships with other brethren, I will continue to rejoice in your promises and no one can separate us from the love of God. Fill me, lead me with your humbleness and humility in all the things I do, thank you Lord, Amen!
