Romans 8:28 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. All things includes bad times even a lifetime of misery. Isaiah 53:3 tells us that Jesus was A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, that His life was one of pain and suffering. The shortest verse in the bible consisting of two words is found in John 11:35, JESUS WEPT. Jesus was fully acquainted with grief. He wept not for Himself though He may have had cause to many times over; He wept for people, He had compassion on the multitudes healing them and showing them the way to God. He opened His arms to a rebellious and wicked people who would not come to Him, who ultimately rejected Him and banished Him to the cross. 1 Peter 3:18 says, For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit The bible says, consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. Romans 8:18-21 No one is exempt from pain and suffering whatever form that may take, weve all experienced pain and suffering in some measure. God teaches us through pain and suffering. He does not tempt us with evil but with every temptation HE ALLOWS, He provides a way of escape. James 1:2-4, 12 says Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Blessed is the man who remains steadfast (or perseveres) under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” To some, it may seem crazy to thank God for trials and tribulation, for hard times and sad times but without pain so to speak there is no gain. Every new day brings with it new challenges, unexpected setbacks and discouragements, new hopes and joys. Learning to give thanks to God for ALL THINGS and people that touch our lives for good or bad promotes patience, strength, endurance and understanding. Proverbs 28:5 says, Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully. What is right is Gods way over our own. James 1:4 says: But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.
