Romans Good morning, Lord Jesus. “The more I seek You, the more I find You, the more I find You, the more I love You.” It is truly a desire of my heart to know You better. I am disgusted with the mundane, the small attempts to be a Christian. I desire fire and passion in my life. I want to turn off the world and the temptations that it presents and sit at Your feet and drink from the cup in Your hand. My intention is to draw close enough to You to hear and feel Your heartbeat. Your goodness and kindness overwhelms me. But….the shouts of this present world…..they capture my attention many times. I am hungry. I am thirsty. I can’t find the song I want to hear this morning. The readings that I have to have every morning are high. In spite of these outward circumstances, I am believing and trusting my Lord. Did you know that according to Scriptures…”we can rejoice too, when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us-they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.” Romans 5:3&4 Until Finally…..Wow!!!! That’s good stuff. We can rejoice because God is allowing problems in our life to make us have STRONG FAITH AND HOPE. Thank you Lord. Honestly, I would rather live without problems and still have STRONG FAITH AND HOPE. But…I also want to learn to trust You more. If you don’t mind, I would rather be the exception to the rule….I would rather learn trust and dependence without problems. I will also trust You and whatever You put in front of me, I will believe that You are for me and have my best interest in Your heart. I will also say that I can do ALL things through You because You give me Your strength and power to do ALL things. I am Your vessel, Lord and You are the Potter of my life. Mold me and make me whatever You have created me to be. I will do my part and believe that my acquittal from death is not based on my good deeds; it is based on what Christ did at Calvary and my faith in Him. Romans 3:25-27.
