Romantic love and hate originate from the same part of the brain. These emotions are considered to be the most intense emotions and share the same driving force called passion. Scientists say judgement and reasoning become deactivated during romantic love and only somewhat deactivated during hate, retaining some ability to calculate. This allows romantic love to forgive easily or turn a blind eye. That is the only difference between the two. They seem like polar opposites but in reality they are not.
