Romney says the US needs a huge military. No kidding! As President I will make sure that any nation that dares lift a finger to endanger the hair on the head of a single American will know that on this planet there will be no place to hide. Romney does not know what kind of military we need and how it should me used. As an Anthropologist I understand what the purpose of a standing military willing to use coercive force is. No nation can long survive unless there is a mechanism to defend itself or to exert its will on others less powerful. History is full of examples of what happens when any civilization loses control of its military or end up degrading its military where political objectives including diplomacy are made impossible. The world is quickly catching up and in some ways passing the United States in Technology and in the willingness to use it to obtain a national interest. A lot of people think a standing army is evil but I tell you if it were not for a military wiling ready and able to assert the will of the People of the United States, within a very short time this nation will cease to exist. I can tell you all that I am not willing to allow the United States to take a back seat to anyone where we, as a nation, cannot defend ourselves and our way of life. As President I will live up to the obligations and promises made to the men and women who serve their nation by defending it with arms. These people are the ones who risk their lives so we can sit in our lounge chair watching Sunday football or to take our family on trips or make it to where we do not have to worry about people from other hostile nations running though our streets shooting innocent civilians down in cold blood. As Commander in Chief I will see to it that our men and women in arms have the necessary tools to make them invincible to our enemies. When it comes to protecting our men and women in uniform there is no such thing as fair. I will see to it that they have the use of all the bells and whistles that will allow them to engage our enemy and to come home to theirs safe and sound. Since Obama has decimated all branches of our military, like Ronald Reagan, I propose building up our military where nobody or no nation would dare take on our nation militarily be it accepted rules of engagement or outright terrorism. It is up to the President and the military to make war so terrible and so brutal that no nation would dare think of using force to manipulate United States foreign policy. If war is necessary in the interests of the United States I want the problem to be taken care of in the shortest period of time and get our men and women home out of harms way. Most Americans these days do not know how many times we have come within a whiskers breath of losing our nation for it not that our brave men and women rose up and did what needed to be done to ensure liberty and freedom would reign supreme for all generations of Americans to come after them. I will not see our young people die in vain or for nothing. Committing troops to a military solution must never be taken lightly. I have five sons of my own and should I become President I will have effectively adopted millions of men and women where my decisions will weigh heavily should I make the wrong ones. The one thing I do know is we have had war declared on us by a bunch of Muslim fanatics Hell bent on destroying Christianity and Judaism even if it destroys the Earth, This I will not have and this I will see never happen as long as I have control of the United States military.
