Romond Lax · Account Executive at Radio One ............... I cannot speak intelligently on the practices of Vemma or an other company in our industry but as a IBO or Organo Gold, I can, but it seems to me that something is drastically overlooked or missed here regarding what this industry is all about marketing. The name of the industry whether you call it Network Marketing or Multilevel Marketing its the same. OG has been around just over 5 years, however coffee has been around much much longer. I myself have consumed coffee for more than 20 years, as is with 75-80% of North America, and very similar all over the world. I, like 95% of distributors in OG was introduced with a sample of coffee. I was asked to try it and let the person that gave it to me know how I liked the taste, and how it made me feel. I loved the smooth taste and the feeling was different than any other coffee I had consumed. I then went a business mixer, where other individuals just as me where there because we wanted to know more about how the business of this product worked. At the time I was looking into different franchises, but quickly became very interested and a few weeks later was in the business. The person who introduced me to OG marketed the product and company to me by GIVING me a sample to EXPERIENCE a product that I was ALREADY consuming and by taking me to a mixer. Now if that person, who was a business owner, did not invest in his business and have product to sample and MARKET his business and company to me, I may not be with Organo Gold. I am now a representative of OG, and I market the product the same way. I invest in my business in order to have product so I can give samples to individuals who either consume coffee, tea, or hot chocolate on occasion. Once I market the product the way the company trains and says gives me the best chance for success, I gain a customer, whether he wants to be involved with the business or not. For those who dont think reps are customers, I still consume the same amount of coffee daily. The difference is rather than spending $100-$150 per month purchasing it from Starbucks ($4.75 minimum per day), I get twice as much coffee from Organo Gold at half the price buy being a distributor(perks). Lest we forget here is the definition: Marketing is the process of communicating the value of a product or service to customers, for the purpose of selling that product or service. That does not mean that you will actually sell the product, it just means that your end goal is to do so. If you do not sell the product, the business is not illegal, the same way that if you market and sell the product to someone who becomes a representative, it is not illegal. In the end products and services are meant to be marketed and moved. This may not be as easy for some other products and services, which is why I chose wisely to be involved with a company that markets a consumable product that is consumed by 80 percent of the world.
