Ron Sabott Birthday Benefit Ron Sabott, one of Breakers Grill’s founding customers is celebrating his 62nd Birthday today! As many of you know or may not know, Ron had cataract surgery 9 years ago. Cataract surgery has a 1 in 40,000 chance in having complications. Ron was one of the unfortunate ones and both of his retinas became detached, leaving him almost legally blind. Currently surgeons have performed 9 surgeries to try and correct the detachment of the retinas. Fortunately, the last surgery worked well and new innovative Scleral corneal corrective lenses for both eyes, Ron will be able to have 20/60 vision and in combination with prescription glasses will have the possibility of obtaining 20/40 vision (WOW!). This will be the best vision he’s had in 9 years. As you can imagine with so many surgeries, doctors, medical bills and transportation costs, Ron has been set back financially and cannot afford the new corrective lenses and prescription glasses. The estimated cost is about $ 1,800.00, but Dr. Forrest, optometrist and the Eagle Vision and Eye Clinic, P.C., are willing to drop the price $ 300.00 to help off set the expense. Breakers Grill and many of his friends would like to help Ron regain his vision once again. We are asking for your help as well.
