Ron and I (Mark) have been getting together once a week and taking off somewhere out of town for lunch. This week we actually took a small step back into History as we were invited to Booneville and a tour of the home where Ellen Graham had lived. She had been a public school teacher and a painter (1902-1977). In preperation of the trip we did some genenology research to find the link between Booneville and Daniel Boone. Ellen Graham was a distant relative of Daniel Boone. From there we went to Lynchburg and pick up Spring Li (one of the newest Art League Members) and she directed us to the Yellow Delli in Pulaski. Here we had a wonderful lunch in a very unique Delli. The Delli has some wonderful Murals on the walls, and then we went where this Tribe of Christian Missionaries, are developing a printing shop to support the needs of their communities all accross the United States. They also had a old bus garage where they are converting old busses into rolling platforms to go out spread the Christian word. The day definately exposed us to the use of Art of several types being used to achieve a mission.
