Ronaldo Faces Ibrahimovic in World Cup Play-Off. The European play-off draw for the World Cup has been made. Portugal and France face tough matches in their quest to reach the World Cup. Potentially the most entertaining match-up is Portugal v Sweden. Its do or die for Real Madrids Ronaldo and PSGs Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of whom will not grace the World Cup. Ukraine are up against France in the other battle of the European powerhouses. Greece, ranked 15, take on Romania, who are 14 places lower in the FIFA rankings. Iceland, ranked 46 in the world, host 18th-placed Croatia in the first leg. They are seeking to reach the World Cup for the first time. The first legs are on Nov. 15 with the deciders four days later. Away goals count double if the two legs are tied. The winners join Russia, Spain, Bosnia-Herzegovina, England, Belgium, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland as Europes representives at the Brazil World Cup.
