Roosevelts Brownie Troop 250, with a little help from Troop - TopicsExpress

Roosevelts Brownie Troop 250, with a little help from Troop 1367 sent cookies to Afghanistan - heres the thank you letter they got. Full disclosure - this is Gwens brother. Identifying items have been Xed out for security. Please pass on our undying thanks to the hard-charging killers in Troop 250. Both boxes of cookies were demolished in under 3 hours. We counted close to 300 total boxes—our S6 shop (the computer and radio guys—big eaters) single-handedly crushed 50 boxes of Samoas. We’ve proudly hung the Troop 250 signs in my office, the Commander’s office, and in the TOC, where they fly just slightly below the Regimental and National colors. When we capture Taliban fighters, we make sure that they know we are supported by the greatest Girl Scout Troop in the free world—Troop 250 of Tampa, FL. Taliban fighters cringe in their beds at night, knowing that XXXXXXXX paratroopers are out there lurking the shadows, coming to get them, and that they’re well fed on Trefoils, Samoas, and Thin Mints. Please pass along our thanks to the Girl Scouts. Much like Troop 250, we also have a crew of hard-working scouts—our Battalion Scout/Snipers. They’re all specially selected and trained to provide long range reconnaissance and precision fires to our maneuver companies—exactly how I imagine your recent camping trip went. We’ve heard the stories over here about how Girl Scout Troop 250 seized key terrain and conducted survival training the weekend that they went camping at Fort Desoto. I’m sure the girls of Troop 250 could teach a few lessons to our paratroopers about surviving in the field with a Leatherman and some dental floss. Please pass along our thanks to my favorite niece in the entire world, Sasha Gillen, Alexa McIntosh, Abby Lucas, Haley Black, Brooke Riffey, Kendra Dodd, and the forward-thinking quartet of Michelle, Carson, Sophie, and Mackenzie who all practiced good operational security and did not provide last names. Also special thanks to my main man Max, who probably gets dragged into all kinds of Troop activities just because he has an older sister. I can sympathize, Max. Thank you for thinking of us. The morale boost paratroopers get when they get anything from home is significant and this is the second deployment you’ve helped us get through. It’s nice to know people think of us and still care. The sign on the wall in the back of our TOC says “Sleep easy tonight…The paratroopers of the XXXXXXX, America’s Guard of Honor, are on point”. We really mean that. Look forward to seeing everyone down there when we get home, safely, in November.
