Rosa was out this afternoon again; fortunately, she was just in - TopicsExpress

Rosa was out this afternoon again; fortunately, she was just in our back yard this time. I lured her right in with treats and then set about finding her escape hatch. There were a couple of low spots that I added height to by nailing poles on top of the posts. I shored up supports, and dragged branches in front of clear areas to land, hoping to discourage her. After about an hours work, I headed back in. All that time, Rosa had been placidly eating hay, apparently paying me no attention. As soon as I was out of her sight, Rosa immediately went to check the fence. I stood quietly, watching her as she pushed at each pole, starting with her preferred spot, using her chest to try and move them. The little brat has been bending the fences down and then hopping right over! DONT YOU DARE! I yelled, whereupon she PRETENDED to just be pooping, which was both a lie *and* a direct insult aimed at me, I suspect. I moved away a bit and she went back again, putting more weight on the fence this time. When my repair job still held, she finally ambled back to eat, but not before giving me a long, cold stare. My friends, do not let their big, long-lashed eyes, and sweet expressions fool you. Llamas are quite capable of asshattery. #jurassicfarm
