Rosh Hashanah is now just about 2 weeks away. This is about the time every year when I start my process of Self-Reflection and Introspection as part of the process of Tshuvah (literally return). It is generally understood as time to seek forgiveness from self and others, but one must first understand that for which forgiveness must be sought. Over the next two weeks, I will be posting my process of FB, so as to reach as many people as possible and be able to seek forgiveness from those I have both knowingly and unknowingly wronged as well as to return or more accurately go forward in my spiritual path. For me, doing this in a social media forum makes me hold myself far more accountable than if I just do this in my head and say a bunch of prayers that are very old and used by everyone. They help, but are more of the finishing layer and not the main process for me. For today, I am just thinking and reflecting. Its been a year of physical and mental ups and downs. More so than usual. Its been a year of significant changes in my life -- difficult but good changes. Other changes, difficult and not so good. I am still trying to figure out what it all means, where I go from here, and for what things I need to seek forgiveness and try to improve. Will write more when I figure out more.
