Rotary Young Citizen of the Year After it’s initial launch in 2011 and subsequent success in 2012 the Rotary Young Citizen of the Year Award is returning in 2014 in partnership with the Standard as media partner and the Bingham Library Trust. The Award aims to showcase exceptional voluntary work undertaken by young people in and around Cirencester. Amy-May Knowles the winner in 2012 went on to national recognition for her charitable work and was one of the forces behind the success of the Phoenix Festival in 2013. If you have been impressed by the selfless commitment of a young person whether at school/college, within the community, for a charity or youth/sports club please do complete the nomination form below. The Award is open to anyone under the age of 18 who lives in or near to Cirencester. Nominations will be short-listed by representatives from the Rotary Club of Cirencester, Wilts and Glos Standard and the Bingham Library Trust, with the finalists being invited to an awards ceremony on Tuesday 15th July. The winner will receive £100 and a trophy and subject to the winner living in Cirencester, a bursary of £500 will be awarded from the Trust.
