Rotherham BHF Branch will be running the Heart Town stall at this year’s Rotherham Show 7th-8th September. It will be Mr Hearty’s Bazaar and be selling trash or treasure – what may be trash to you might just be somebody else’s treasure. Mr Hearty will be at the stall both days and will be competing (thanks to Cllr Wyatt) in the mascot race. In addition there will be a presentation to people who raised £50 or more at the Circle of Hope events in June. Representatives from the Stop Smoking Service and BHF shops will also be on the stall. • Donations: they still need donations for the stall – small items are preferred and in reasonably good condition (they don’t want it to look like a jumble sale!). For example, old unwanted items of jewellery, CDs/DVDs, ornaments. Please contact June on 01909 518062 to arrange collection/delivery. • Stall set-up: June, David and some other branch members will be setting up the stall on Friday 6 September from 12-4pm, but other help would be welcome, even if it is only for an hour. Again, please contact June if you can help, or just turn up on the day. • Help on the stall: any time you can spare over the weekend to help on the stall would also be appreciated. • Promotion: Please cascade this message re donation opportunities or to seek volunteers to help on the day – via noticeboards, intranets, email newsletters etc. Thank you
