Rotimi Adeyenuwo Wrote: Inasmuch as l would like G7 Governors to reappraise their stands and come back to their fold,l believe some of them are recalcitrant in bending backwards to see the likely effects of their actions if they eventually decamp to APC. Some of them are very arrogant to eat the humble pie and allow peace to return to the fold of PDP.Our Yoruba people in their wisdom says,¨fifi lepon agbo nfi,ko lee jabo. This indeed is a trying period for the party PDP,but still the hope of overcoming the present travails is assured. The steam generated by this impasse will soon sublime. If these governors know how to read political barometer, the truth will stir them in the face that at the end of it all, they are going to loose the battle. They should also bear in mind that in political game, there are many spectators watching each one of the players from the sidelines.Assessing them with their mistakes will not be a very difficult job for them to do. My candid advice for these governors is to have rethink about their actions and let the peace to reign supreme in the party. Some of them that have interest in running for presidency in 2015 should know that attempting to do so by rocking the boat that made them to ascend the ladder to their present levels will be counter productive. They should know that apart from being watched by people, this desperate move is against natural law.Do they think they can armtwist the Omniscient God who knows everything from conception to the very end of it? I still want to see the magic wand on how the aggrieved seven governors with their terse followers would want to supplant the wish of majority of people. It is nigerians generally that will decide who the President will be in 2015,not by political wizzardry of anyone of them who are creating scene presently. Had they known that nigerians will not buy into their thinking, they would have rejected the carrot dangled in their faces ab-initio.The country, nigeria have transcended the level where a person can successfully determine the fate of over 140 million people. It is always right to rub minds with other people to reach consensus adidem on matters of common concern than to foist personal opinion down the throats of majority of people. As mortals,we are all infallible to mistakes. If we now make an error in reaching a decision,we should all swallow our pride and make appropriate corrections where necessary.Trying to wallow in sin and still want divine mercy will be odd in hearing. Our Lord is God of justice. He shall dispense that justice according to the measure deserved by individuals. The G7 Governors is admonished in their own interest to go back to their political platform PDP,to make restitution where necessary and be accepted back into the fold like the prodigal son did.Anything short of this will not help their course at all.Yoruba will say, leyin aponle, abuku loku. They should not fall into another pit of deceit of APC.The solidarity visit cum recruitment drive of Gen. Mohammadu Buhari,Sen.Bola Ahmed Tinubu,Chief Bisi Akande and their cronies to G7 Governor states is another bait that will send them to political oblivion forever. If wresting power from President Goodluck Jonathan is so easy as they conceived it before forming themselves into a political party, they wont be bothered to bait the G7 Governors into their midst. But if the governors now swallow the bait, that will be an action they will regret for the rest of their lifes. In our culture we say,eni ba fe da aso fun ni,torun e la n koko wo.The G7 Governors should be weary that these APC Chieftains dangling carrot again in their faces have nothing concrete to offer them.If because they dont like Alhaji Bamanga Tukurs face in PDP and hastily decamp to APC the self acclaimed progressives fold,it is like flying from frying pan to fire.APC have absolutely nothing to offer them than to smear them and cage them for life.Examples of their intrigues abound in this regard. For the sake of empasis,l will like to mention just two of them for these governors to juxtapose and see that they are moving towards political extinction. What has become of erstwhile National Chairman of PDP,Audu Ogbeh that deflected to Tinubus camp of ACN some years back.Is that steam of relevance still surrounds him in that fold now? I beg,NO! So,the likes of Alhaji Kawu Baraje should be weary not to be led into a ditch. If because of empathising with Sen.Bukola Saraki,he is contemplating of deflecting to APC,he will be making a costly mistake. You cannot cut your nose to spite your face.In Yoruba parlance we say,a kii gbe eru eleru sori ka fa tiwa dani.Eewo Orisa. Secondly, the abrupt abandonment of the Presidential candidate of ACN Nuhu Ribadu,in the 2011 presidential election by Tinubu and his men under any guise to vote for Dr.Goodluck Jonathan of PDP extraction is instructive here. The junketting G7 Governors shoul take clue from this.I can reel out many examples but for the limited space and time available in this medium. These two examples are enough to ponder on if they want to sustain their relevance and credibilty.Their purposes can better be served in PDP than migrating to APC where dictatorship is the norm. Alhaji Bamanga Tukur may not be 100% good or perfect, still he is more preferred than any of the leaders of APC l mention above with dictatorial tendencies.Apart from this,as one of the founding fathers of PDP,Alhaji Bamanga Tukur will not watch helplessly seeing the party he co-founded derail to arena of lawlessness and gross indiscipline.Putting the party on the right track will be the only service he can render the citizens of this nation desirous of good governance where aggregade of opinion counts. The PDP National Chairman Alhaji Bamanga Tukur should also try in the wisdom of Allah which preaches tolerance of other human beings to ensure that the peaceful overtures is made to draw the aggrieved governors back to the mainstream of PDP for the victory of 2015 pesidential election to be total.Agba ti o binu lomo re n po jojo. The governors too should be mindful of the fact that it is only God that crowns whoever He pleases, not by human effort. The Presidential race that is causing this rumblings in political circle should be left to God to take absolute control. Lastly, the President Dr.Goodluck Ebele Jonathan should not be discouraged to resume the peace talk initiated in this regard. It is when peace is allowed to reign that his aspirations about the government could be better served. As a peace loving person,he should see all these governors as his own subjects who need be drawn nearer to himself to fast-track his transformation agenda. In accomplishing this task therefore, the intervention of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,Gen.Yakubu,Gen.Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida,Gen.Abdulsalam Abubakar and Gen.Theophilous Danjuma is highly needed to call the aggrieved G7 Governors back without attaching any string to it.I believe if this settlement is brokered the way it should be as major stakeholders in nigeria project selflessly, the peace that that is elusive in PDP for sometime now will return for the betterment of polity and generality of nigerians.Agba kii wa loja, kori omo tuntun wo so says the Yoruba adage. May the Lord bless our land Nigeria!
