Rough seas take life of cruise ship passenger Source The Daily Herald MARIGOT--A cruise ship passenger from Oasis of the Seas died on Wednesday afternoon after sustaining a fatal head injury while swimming in the waves off Orient Beach. The 65-year-old U.S. citizen, who was with his wife and a friend, appeared to have been tossed upside down by the waves in the shore-break off Kon-Tiki Beach, according to a witness. Several persons helped him get back onto the beach, but he was pronounced dead by a doctor when emergency services and the Gendarmerie responded. Capitaine Sylvain Jouault confirmed the incident had occurred around 2:00pm, quoting the doctor as saying death occurred in the water and had been caused by a hit on the head.
