Round 3 Results Round 3 rolled around last night and saw 2 Lane Cove teams playing 2 St Michaels Teams. LC 2 played Ivory Toast (St Michaels top team) and started well, leading 1-0 and getting back to 2-2 after Ivory Toast put on a couple of goals. From there on unfortunately Ivory Toast pulled away, ending with an 8-3 victory with Flash pulling the strings for the victors. Lane Cove got some redemption in the other local derby, with LC3 putting the cleaners through St Michaels Ye 9-0. It was a great first half from LC3 with Dave Carter quickly racking up a hat-trick, and with two goals from Tom and singles from Pete and Darren LC3 was in cruise control leading 7-0 at halftime. The foot came off the gas a little in the second half, and with St Michaels playing deep two second half goals from Darren resulted in a 9-0 final score. A good result for LC3s for and against (now just 2 goals behind Ivory Toast at the top of the ladder) but stiffer challenges are around the corner.
