Round one complete. UGH, Gemi, decided that she was going to go - TopicsExpress

Round one complete. UGH, Gemi, decided that she was going to go exploring this morning, next to a chain link fence and a privacy fence. AND GOT STUCK!! I couldnt get to her from the front because of trees, and couldnt get to her from the back because she was already scared to death with the situation and the horrible lightening storm. I came in changed into rubber shoes, and said a HUGE prayer. Dear Lord, I am your servant, and do as I am required, please watch over Gemi and I in this very dangerous situation. If it is my time to go home, please watch over my family and friends and let them know daily that I love them, and went doing something you have asked me to do...take care of the horses. Over the fence I went and got right in front of Gemi, put on her halter, and loved on her for a few. Explained to her what we had to do, gently and calmly and that she would be ok. She is snorting, panting and her eyes are white...I gently made her walk backwards, past a tree, hitting the privacy fence, the chain link fence...lightening crashing, I could hardly see. She trusted in me, and I trusted in God, she kept trying to look back to see how much further, but the gap was only wide enough for her, she was rubbing both sides...I kept telling her, look in my eyes, we can do this..we walked backwards, in what I would describe as a visual a VERY tight cow shoot...we did it...80 ft I would say. We did it...something I do not ever want to do again. Leave it to a horse to show us where something is needed. Have no idea just how she did it but she did. Thank you Lord for watching over us..
