Round up of the Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres after penultimate race of the World Superbike Championship in Magny Cours (FR) Rainy Magny Cours was a good one for newbie Mason Law. PJ Jacobsen started form second and Florian Marino from third line of the grid. Newcomer Manson Law from the UK started from 22nd position. Biggest rival of Marino, J.Cluzel started from pole position and it was really difficult to get over him to keep and secure the second position in the overall standings of the Supersport Championship. After crash of K.Sofoglu, J.Cluzel went to 1st place but Marino was dropping down the leader board. Jacobsen had a good race and was moving into front positions but becouse the race was shortened, he had no chance to show his power and shape. Cluzel won the race in Magny Cours and jumped on the second place overall. Florian marino now looses 12 points to Cluzel what means that the final race Quatar will be extremely difficult. The whole team will work hard to succeed! New rider Mason Law had a good race with excellent 12th position and also will do the Quatar race with Kawasaki Intermoto. Earlier before the race Kawasaki Intermoto Team wrote: 18-year-old Mason Law has been given the opportunity after the early departure of Tony Covena and will ride alongside American PJ Jacobsen and Frenchman Florian Marino this weekend in Magny Cours in France. 18-year-old Mason Law (who is currently racing in the National Stock 600 class in the UK) has been given the opportunity after the early departure of Tony Covena and will ride alongside American PJ Jacobsen and Frenchman Florian Marino this weekend in Magny Cours in France. I was a bit shocked, but I was also thinking, Yes, yes, yes! It wasn’t a question I expected to hear, but I’m incredibly excited and feel blessed that I’ve been given the opportunity. said young rider Mason Law. Andrew Pitt also added: An opportunity came up in our team with the early departure of Tony Covena for the final two rounds of the Supersport World Championship. We will put no pressure on Mason, but I honestly believe he can bring it home in the points which will be a huge achievement for such a new guy to road racing. So let’s see what he can do with a great team around him.
