Roxas City Council approves the CCTV Ordinance In yesterdays session (Oct.28, 2014), the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the ordinance authored by Councilor Powell del Rosario mandating business establishments having a capitalization or gross receipts of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos(PHP 250, 000.00) or more to install close circuit television in their premises. CCTVs have proven to aid in crime prevention, detection and solution. No less than the Department of Interior and Local Government encourages local government to pass measures for mandatory video surveillance in critical areas and businesses. Under the said ordinance, business establishments are given until May 31, 2015 to comply with the required video cameras in conformity with the specifications therein.
