Roy Lee “Buddy” McCormick Roy Lee “Buddy” McCormick, 72, died Thursday, July 4, 2013. Mr. McCormick was born November 13, 1940 in Robeson County, N.C., a son of the late Robert and Lois Elaine Pettit McCormick. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. McCormick are; a Daughter: Donna Marie McCormick of Florida; 2 Sisters: Ella Mae Watts of Floydale and Maxine Jackson of Dillon; 4 Brothers: Robert (Patricia) McCormick, Jr. of Floydale, Nathaniel H. McCormick of Latta, Clyde Ray (Sandra) McCormick of Floydale and Steve Allen (Linda) McCormick of Mullins; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, July 6, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. at Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Smith-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. James Orr officiating. Burial will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to Kathy Funderburk from Marion County DHEC Home Health Services for all the love and care.
