Taking Astronomy 1 as it meets my math requirement which can be replaced with a science with a lab and this is considered a physical science with lab AND I SUCK AT MATH. First assignment explain why their are two theories of light. REALLY? WTF? 5 points . here is my response way to much research for a measly 5 points my head hurts already. BUT ANYTHING IS BETTER THEN ALGEBRA LOL. For a long time, physicists tried to explain away the problems with the classical theory of light as arising from an imperfect understanding of atoms and the interaction of light with individual atoms and molecules. Albert Einstein threw down the gauntlet, he proposed that the problem had nothing to do with the details of lights interaction with atoms and everything to do with the fundamental nature of light itself. Einstein wrote a paper in 1905 in which he concluded that the pure wave theory of light was an over simplification .He said that the energy from a beam of light comes in infinite chunks not from being spread smoothly throughout a region of space. He never used the word particle and the word photon wasn’t around yet .The reaction to his paper was skeptical . Twenty years later Einstein wrote, “There are therefore now two theories of light, both indispensable, and --- as one must admit today despite twenty years of tremendous effort on the part of theoretical physicists --- without any logical connection.” So its Einsteins fault lol worth 5 points ?
