Ruby Nell Cornett of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Mount Pleasant at the age of 85 years. She was born July 19, 1929 in Red River County, Texas to Ernest and Rena Mae (Rainey) Medley. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant where she was very active in the First Touch and Busy Hands. She is survived by her children, Gary and his wife Anita Cornett, and Regina and her husband Mike Clark; brother, Bill and his wife Barbara Medley; grandchildren, Courtney and Colby Wegman, Monica and Joe Wharton, Natalie and Jason Lee; 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edd Cornett; and a grandchild, Dane Clark. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the New Shamrock Cemetery in Clarksville, Texas. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
