Ruby Sparks starring Paul Dano and co-starring and written by Zoe Kazan Paul Dano is perhaps the Phillip Seymour Hoffman or Daniel Day-Lewis of his generation. I would do Zoe Kazan a severe injustice comparing her to anyone so I will not. This and This Must Be The Place were without a doubt the most interesting movies I have seen in 2013, save for perhaps Beasts of the Southern Wild. Think of perhaps the modern day Being John Malkovich/Adaptation/Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind type of thing. If that doesnt do it for you, we probably dont have the same taste in film.
