Rufus is a chiweenie. Hes 8 lbs & ~4 years old. He joined us June 2013. He was one of the most scared dogs Ive ever rescued. He had only been kept in a crate previously because he had more confidence in a crate. Hes progressed so much since we got him. Hes shy but has shown no nipping or growling. Just is cautious when you approach him, but quickly gains confidence when he gets comfortable. Loves to sleep in his fosters bed and he loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. Hes sweet. Loves to cuddle in the bed. He gets along with other dogs and cats. His cute little bark sounds like a turkey gobble. Hes up to date on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. He is neutered and chipped. Hes heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $100. Rufus is located in New Orleans, but we will adopt to anywhere in the U. S.
