Rugby is about love. Love of the sport, love your opponent for giving competition, love your team for being with you, and love all that the rugby community can accomplish together. Being a former DAL rugby player I was not surprised to see this as over a decade ago things werent great for some guys. I can honestly say I had no problems with what was done to me. However, times have changed and at first glance I thought the season being suspended was pretty extreme. Then I saw a couple people respond with thats so gay and this is so gay openly on Facebook. Obviously they havent learned anything yet and I hope their education helps set them straight and they take this as a learning experience in right versus wrong. Rugby, from my experience, is the most inclusive sport I have played where diversity isnt only accepted but encouraged. Gay, straight, bi, black, white, blue, green or purple we are a team and club on and off the field unlike any other sports. We all come from different backgrounds and this helps make us more understanding people. Come with me to Fredericton to the rugby or see two rugby teams together after a game in Miramichi. Happiness and friendship is the theme of the day, every day. Its a lot tougher to bring someone up than to knock them down. I want to be the tough guy making the world better. Team sports are a great way to teach young people to do the tough thing and help people out. Spread love.
