#RumbleOfWesteros As this week is our first rumble of westeros, this week Ive decided to compile our own little standoff between a known Asoiaf/GoT character and a character from media history. King Robb Stark aka King in the North or The Young Wolf VS. The Scottish Warrior William Wallace aka Braveheart from 1995s film Braveheart. Robb Stark - A northern King of Westeros at nineteen, was a competitor in the War of the Five Kings, rallying the northern houses to his side and being named by his bannermen themselves as the King in the North. However is naive and inexperienced politician, putting honorable conduct over practical concerns, and makes a number of crucial blunders. His fighting skill is considered graceful, swift and precise, befitting his lordly training. Memorable Facts to consider: - Successfully won every battle he stood against during the war of the five kings. Including the battle of the Whispering Wood, which lead to the capture of Ser Jaime Lannister. - Achieved both his tactical success and failures in his first/only rebellion. Unfamiliar to certain aspects of war. - Betrayed by his own bannermen at the Twins wedding, having broke his marriage pact vow to Walder Frey. - Learned his fighting technique from a proven knight Ser Rodrick Cassell at an early age in his childhood. William Wallace - A Scottish knight of simple birth, who after the death of his father and brother, was raised by his uncle Argyle. At an age of thirty five, he spearheaded his country’s long charge against the English toward freedom, and his martyrdom paved the way for eventual success, becoming one of his countrys greatest heroes. He was considered a proven military leader and not a politician, often making his decisions via a sword in hand than quill and ink. He was said to be a giant in physical prowess and a determined fighter, proven in his combat among the english troops and Scottish training. Memorable facts to Consider: - Is a grown male knight of 35 and did not meet his first battle until an age of 20. - Wallace slaughtered an entire English garrison single handedly shortly after a certain important figure in his story is killed. - Wallace was later betrayed by his bannermen as a method of brokering an attempted English/Scottish peace, Wallace attempted to take down the garrison of Edward I with several loyal men, before being overwhelmed. - Refused to plead for mercy despite his torture and quartering amongst the English people. - Learned his sword techniques from an early age of teenage who from his uncle, cousin and other Scottish children. Okay; who do you believe would win in a showdown? Please be sure to comment :)
