Rumors! -The Hurricanes would love to trade away Alex Semin who has 4 years at 7 million per year left on his deal. But there is no interest for him. -A couple of teams looking to upgrade their defense could inquire about Hurricanes D Andrej Sekera who is in the final year of his contract with a very affordable 2.75m cap hit. -Keith Yandles name has been in rumors for years now, he is going to enter the last year of his contract next year, Bruce Garioch of the Ottawa Sun thinks if the Coyotes want to do something big, theyll trade him during the season. -The Coyotes are trying to extend F Antoine Vermette, but it doesnt really look like a possibility. He could get around 7m per year on the open market on a multi-year deal. -It was reported that Sabres Chris Stewart has been getting some attention from many teams, however the Sabres are in no rush to trade him, expect things to hit up closer to trade deadline. -The Maple Leafs would like 2014 first round pick William Nylander to convert from win to center because they feel he is best suited at that position on the long term and also they have a big need at the center position. -It appears that the Bruins have extended coach Claude Julien to a 3 year deal, he was in the last year of his deal. -MTS
