Rumour has it, we may me doing a menu dedicated to sandwiches soon... I will level with you, I am not necessarily the biggest fan of sandwiches. While I have nothing against them, its not my first choice for eating out. That said there have been such a variety of sammies over the years, from house specialties, to regional favourites, its almost amazing that there is a cannon at all. Certain combinations of food have been cemented together just by the presence of bread to the point where, the world over, certain names will always evoke such specific, perfect bites.
