Run your Race!! Do it the best that you can! Imagine that - TopicsExpress

Run your Race!! Do it the best that you can! Imagine that you begin a year being able to run a 10 minute mile, and you want to improve your time to 8 minutes. You get involved with an organized team to help you. You got involved in the team because YOU wanted to improve your time from 10 minutes to 8 minutes, and you knew the team could push you to be better than you could on your own. After a little while, you see some people on the team like to run 6 minute miles, 8 minute miles, 12 minutes, 14 minutes, or even world class people who run under 4 minutes. You have two choices. 1) you either can work your butt off and use those 4 and 6 minute milers as pace setters and you try to keep up with them and you will no doubt improve your own time; or 2) You can be jealous of the 4 and 6 minute milers; and quit and walk off the track and up into the stands and never improve your own time. This is YOUR RACE. Whatever you choose to do in life - how hard you work, how much you want to accomplish, how much you want to relax, how fit you want to be, how many people you want to help, how far you want to push yourself, how high on the corporate ladder you want to climb, how much money you want or need to make, how many things you want or need to have, what kind of legacy you want to leave for your children, where you want to send your kids to school, what kind of neighborhood you want to live in. The choice is yours!! Nobody is interfering in your race. Others can guide you and you can see what your competition is doing. At the end of the day, your competition is either making you better, or you are taking yourself out of the game!! But we all start at the same starting line, the same starting blocks, and we all have our own reasons why we want to run the race, and what we want to accomplish. RUN YOUR RACE!! PUT YOUR BEST EFFORT into it - however you want to define that!! youtu.be/t2G8KVzTwfw
