Running a business can be very complex and it is a shame that people cant understand that. Next time you are a consumer of a good or service and think something is overpriced, please stop to think about what that bowl of pasta you are eating is paying for. The restaurant you are sitting in probably pays a lot in rent, the staff has to be paid, the dishes you eat off of cost money, the electrical bill has to be paid, the water bill has to be paid, the phone bill has to be paid - oh, and when the oven went on the fritz, they had to call a repairman, ingredients have to be paid for, etc. You see where I am going with this. Just because you think the raw ingredients would be cheaper for you to get, you are not only paying for raw ingredients, you are paying for so much more and the bottom line, you are paying for the convenience of not having to do it yourself. Be a good consumer, I implore you. Most businesses are not out there to price gouge you...they are just trying to survive and stay open.
